Our DNA (did not attend) figures for December 2023 can be seen below.
It makes a dramatic difference to us here at Mount Road Practice & also to the NHS as a whole, if you inform us in good time that you are unable to attend your appointment, we then may be able to offer the slot to another patient.
The impacts it can have if you do not attend or inform us of cancellation of your appointment:
• An increase in the waiting time for appointments
• Frustration for both staff and patients
• A waste of resource
• A potential risk to the health of the patient
• Each missed GP appointment costs the NHS an average of £30 per person.
